The Iranian Foreign Ministry said: "40 thousand foreign visitors have crossed the port of Shalamcheh (southwestern Iran) since the beginning of zero until now to participate in the march of forty and visit the holy shrines in Iraq."
"The majority of foreign visitors are from Azerbaijan, Pakistan and Afghanistan," said Ali Reza Ghoroei, director general of foreign nationals and immigrants at the Iranian Foreign Ministry.
More than 600,000 Iranian and foreign visitors have traveled to Iraq through the Shalamcheh border since the beginning of Safar, within 13 days, to participate in the 40th march of Imam Hussein and visit the holy shrines in Iraq.
It is noteworthy that the forty visitors to Iraq through the four border crossings of Iran, "attractive" and "Shalamcheh" in the province of "Khuzestan" and "Mehran" in the province of Ilam and Khosravi province of Kermanshah.
