The United States renews its commitment to support the provinces affected in Iraq
US Ambassador Matthew Toller reiterated the United States' continued commitment to post-ISIS recovery in Anbar and other affected provinces.
A statement issued by the embassy said that: Ambassador Toller attended the ceremony laying the foundation stone of Abdul Rahman Al-Nasser School in Habbaniyah as part of the US Government grant of $ 100 million to the Stabilization Fund for Anbar Province.
He added that this program will restore basic services such as water, electricity, sewage system, health, housing and education, which are the basis for achieving economic development.
Ambassador Toiler announced a new $ 500,000 grant to Anbar University to restore its potential to provide students with educational and vocational skills development opportunities.
The statement stressed that the United States is committed to creating the right conditions to allow displaced people to return to their areas of residence and rebuild their lives.
He called on elected officials of Anbar, tribal sheikhs and citizens to reintegrate all Iraqi IDPs into their communities who wish to return to their areas of residence.
