And the Prime Minister said, according to a statement of his media office: "These developments came after the recent painful events, and he had already made clear - two days ago - to the US Secretary of Defense exploring the seriousness of its consequences."
The Prime Minister affirmed: "The Iraqi security forces continue to perform their duty to protect [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/1814/%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B3%D9%81%D8%A7%D8%B1%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A7%D9%85%D8%B1%D9%8A%D9%83%D9%8A%D8%A9]the American embassy[/url] and other diplomatic missions and representations."
Speaking of the regional situation, the Prime Minister stated: "The Iraqi government has always sought to maintain good relations with neighboring countries, as well as friendly western countries, particularly the United States of America, but the situation has deteriorated due to differences between the two sides, and that Iraq wants to be a negotiating country. And calm to keep the danger of war out of Iraq and everyone. "
President Trump stressed his confidence in the importance of the role and leadership of Iraq and what it can play in this regard. The two sides agreed to keep the direct lines open between them to follow up on the matter.
