The "round table" is the latest thing for political powers to solve the prime minister crisis
Members of the House of Representatives called for a "round table" meeting of influential political parties and forces to agree on a figure to assume the position of new prime minister.
"The political blocs sit at the roundtable dialogue table, which is serious, and during which the public interest takes precedence over narrow sectarian interests, so that the current crisis can be resolved and a consensus is agreed on for a candidate to head the government for the next stage," said the representative of the "Saeron" coalition, Raad Al-Maksousi.
For his part, Talaat Karim, the deputy from "Saeron", stated that: "Some political blocs seek to re-assign Adel Abdel Mahdi to form an interim government while giving him some powers, and this matter is rejected by the masses and some other political blocs."
