Continue / ... China revealed, on Monday, 139 new cases of pneumonia over the weekend caused by the emergence of a new strain of the Coronavirus, which medical experts are still struggling to understand.

The health committee in Daxing District of Beijing confirmed two new cases of the virus, and the Guangdong Provincial Health Committee confirmed one case, which marks the first cases of the disease outside Wuhan, where the virus was first discovered.

The Wuhan Health Committee reported in a statement that 136 cases had appeared on Saturday and Sunday.

The memories of an outbreak of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) in Asia in 2002 and 2003 are fresh in mind, when they appeared in China and claimed about 800 lives worldwide.

Coronavirus strains are a large family, which can cause infections ranging from common cold to severe acute respiratory infection (SARS), according to Reuters. Finished 2
