A government official in Diyala Governorate announced on Saturday that a government fund has allocated more than 10 billion to finance projects in 5 vital sectors in Baquba.
The District Commissioner of Baquba, Abdullah Al-Hayali, said in an interview with "Information", that "the Reconstruction Fund for Territories Affected by Terrorism has allocated more than 10 billion dinars to finance projects in 5 important sectors in Baquba, the most prominent of which are roads, electricity and education, including multiple neighborhoods and alleys within the city limits."
Al-Hayali added that “Baquba was severely affected by the stoppage of construction and construction projects after 2014 due to the security unrest created by the June events,” noting that “the size of the projects allocated to the city is not appropriate to its actual need and the density of its population, which amounted to about 300 thousand people.”
The Reconstruction Fund for Territories Affected by Terrorism is a government fund that was established years ago to finance reconstruction and construction projects. Ended / 25
