The Kurdistan Democratic Party led by Masoud Barzani revealed that Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi showed "flexibility" with the Kurds [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] , regarding participation in the government.
Member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Imad Bajlan, said in a press statement: "Muhammad Allawi has shown flexibility with the Kurds [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] during the past hours, contrary to his previous positions."
Baglan added: "The past hours witnessed a rapprochement between the Kurds and Allawi after we were heading to boycott the session of granting confidence."
Baglan did not clarify the nature of that flexibility or the promises made by Allawi, but he stated: "The Kurdish negotiating delegation returned to the Kurdistan region to inform the Kurdish parties of the results of its negotiations, and then it will return to Baghdad."
