The Arab League Council, at the level of Arab foreign ministers, affirmed its rejection and condemnation of the Turkish forces' incursion into Iraqi lands as an attack on Iraqi sovereignty and a threat to Arab national security.
In a resolution issued yesterday evening, entitled "Turkish Interventions in the Internal Affairs of Arab Countries", at the conclusion of its 153th session headed by the Sultanate of Oman, the Council noted the rejection and condemnation of the Turkish aggression on Syrian lands as a clear violation of the principles of the United Nations Charter and Security Council resolutions calling for To preserve the unity and independence of Syria, especially Resolution No. 2254, and considers it a direct threat to Arab national security and international peace and security.
The Council stressed, rejecting and condemning the incursion of Turkish forces into Iraqi lands as an attack on Iraqi sovereignty and a threat to Arab national security, calling on the Turkish side to withdraw all its forces present in the territories of Arab countries.
The Council called on the member states of the Arab League to demand the Turkish side not to interfere in the internal affairs of the Arab countries, and to stop provocative actions that would undermine confidence-building and threaten the security and stability of the region.
The Council stressed the content of the decisions of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level regarding condemning Turkish interference in the internal affairs of Arab countries, and instructed the Secretary General of the League of Arab States to make contact with the Secretary-General of the United Nations to transfer the content of the decision and distribute it to members of the United Nations as an official document.
The Council instructed the Arab Group in New York to discuss ways to address the Turkish aggression against Arab countries within the various United Nations bodies, especially the Security Council, and to raise its recommendations to the Council of the League of Arab States in this regard. Ended / 25
