American aviation carried out air strikes in several regions of Iraq "in revenge" for the killing of 3 members of the International Alliance in Taji

Official information from the Joint Operations Command indicates that the strikes that occurred at the dawn of Friday, March 13, targeted the headquarters of the Popular Mobilization, emergency regiments and commandos of the 19th Army Division, in Jurf al-Sakhr, al-Musayyib, Najaf and Alexandria, where the leadership described the attacks as "assault" .

The US Department of Defense said, "The strikes targeted 5 headquarters of the Hezbollah Brigades, in retaliation for the incident targeting the Taji camp," stating that "the strikes were carried out by warplanes," and indicated that additional information would be provided on the strikes by General Kenneth F. McKinsey Jr., commander of the US Central Command, in the morning, United States time.

The "expected" strikes took place after a massive flight of American air in the skies of several cities and towns from Iraq, where US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo had vowed to "hold accountable" those responsible for targeting the Taji military base in Baghdad, which killed three members of the coalition forces International.
But the strikes did not cause significant human losses among the ranks of the Hezbollah Brigades, which evacuated its positions in Jurf Al-Sakhr and other areas, after the attack that targeted the Taji base, according to security sources, to avoid the scenario of bombing its headquarters in Anbar at the end of last year, when dozens were killed and injured.
The bombing also affected Karbala Airport, a building still under construction, and it is supervised by the Husayniyah threshold, which is directly managed by the Supreme Religious Authority, as the strike resulted in the death of at least one person, and material losses.

The strikes resulted in deaths and injuries, including a civilian and two members of the Federal Police

Ghazwan Al-Issawi, Director of Media and Relations of Karbala Airport, said, "The coalition bombing targeted the Karbala Airport, which is under construction, with three missiles, which resulted in the death of a worker," explaining that "the airport is located on the border area with Najaf Governorate, near the Al-Haidariya district."
Police sources indicate that the American strikes resulted in killing two members of the Federal Police in Jurf al-Sakhr, and wounding 4 members of the Hezbollah Brigades there.
