The dollar fell 0.46% to 110.71 yen in Asia. Against the Swiss franc, the dollar fell 0.3% to 0.9743.
Investors welcomed the passage of a $ 2 trillion US stimulus package to mitigate the economic impact of the Coronavirus epidemic, but there are already indications that some US states will need more money for medical supplies as the health-care system struggles to cope with the disease.
