Today, Wednesday, the Prime Minister's Office issued a clarification regarding the fact of granting plots of land inside the Green to the Hezbollah Brigades.
The office said in a statement, "Some of the media outlets and media published a fabricated news that the Prime Minister's Office had granted plots of land within the Green Zone in favor of the Hezbollah Brigades movement."
He added, "While we lie this news altogether and in detail, we confirm that the Prime Minister's Office Director does not have any legal powers that would authorize him to own any piece of land, whether for investment or any other purpose and anywhere in or outside the Green Zone."
He continued, "In addition to the fact that the current government headed by Adel Abdul Mahdi has never taken such a step inside the Green Zone for any party, and therefore the parties that promote this information that contradicts the truth and exposed targets and motives will be prosecuted at this particular time."
