[rtl]ARBIL (Kurdistan 24) - US President Donald Trump used a veto to thwart legislation passed by Congress to limit the president's ability to wage war on Iran.
This comes as Trump launches a campaign that involves exerting maximum pressure on the Islamic Republic.
"This was a very abusive decision, put forward by Democrats as part of a strategy to win the November 3 elections by dividing the Republican Party," Trump said in a statement released by the White House.
"The few Republicans who voted for him did what they (Democrats) wanted."
