    For her part, the US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi welcomed Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi and his accompanying delegation, and praised the steps taken by Al-Kazemi since assuming his duties in the government, and the efforts made by the Iraqi government in the file of the components and the displaced.

    Pelosi added that "the United States of America supports the current Iraqi government and its national orientations," noting that "Iraq is an independent country and an important country in a difficult region, and that there is a consensus to support the independence of the Iraqi government, rehabilitate the Iraqi state and support Iraq's efforts in the war against ISIS."
