Baghdad / Al-Akhbariya
Deputy for the Parliamentary Economic Committee, Nada Shaker Jawdat, suggested today, Monday, that the government will send the 2021 budget early next month, and that it will include its economic reform program.
Jawdat told Al-Akhbariya, "The speech of the religious authority will contribute to increasing the state's financial resources, imposing law at border crossings, preventing the imposition of royalties by the corrupt, and returning billions of dollars if the Al-Kazemi government declares war against corruption."
She added that "the government will send the 2021 budget early next month to include its reform program," noting that "the budget must get rid of external debts permanently and rely on internal funds and economic resources provided by the sale of oil."
On the thirtieth of last June, the deadline granted by the House of Representatives to the government of Mustafa Al-Kazemi to present the draft general budget law for the current year 2020 for voting and approval, after half of the year had passed without a budget, and the other half may have passed as well, and by the end of the last period, a full year may have passed since the start By preparing the budget bill in the Council of Ministers without being able to finish it and send it to Parliament. The reason for not submitting the budget to Parliament is due to the presence of a large deficit rate of about (48) trillion Iraqi dinars.
