The leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Repin Salam, threatened, on Thursday, to boycott the sessions of the federal parliament if the budget law did not include the share of the Kurdistan region.
"An agreement has been reached between the delegation of the region and the federal government, and we have implemented the necessary conditions requested by Baghdad, regarding the delivery of oil and other revenues," Salam told Al-Maaloumah.
He added, "We see the quality of a will that wants to vote by the majority system and deprive the Kurds of their share in the budget, and this will lead to great harm in the political process and there is an agreement within the Kurdish house to boycott the session if the vote does not include the budget and the region’s share."
And the Parliament Presidency allocated next Monday as a date for voting on the budget, while the share of the Kurdistan region has not yet been decided. End / 25 p
