The Committee of Martyrs, Victims and Political Prisoners called today, Wednesday, the Ministries of Education and Higher Education, to expedite the completion of the curriculum for the crimes of the Baath Party and to include these crimes in other books.
The committee stated in a statement on the occasion of the twenty-second anniversary of the Sadrist uprising, Mawazine News received a copy of it: “On this day, the twenty-second anniversary of the eternal Sadrist uprising that started from Basra Al-Fayhaa governorate on the seventeenth of March 1999 after the martyrdom of Aya God the Great, Sayyid Muhammad Muhammad Sadiq al-Sadr (may God sanctify his honorable secret) at the hands of the forces of injustice and tyranny, and upon their tyrant head, the buried Saddam and his glory
The statement added, "This courageous uprising that emerged in the face of the defunct dictatorial Baath clique, shook the thrones of the destructive Baathist regime, covered the most wonderful heroics and sacrifices, and offered many martyrs from the Mujahideen heroes who wrote the finest epics and prayers to which inspirations and stature bend."
He continued: "We stand today as a pause of honor and admiration for these sacrifices made by the martyrs who were killed at the hands of the tyrant and his associates and their generous families who lost bright planets that illuminated the path of freedom and paved the way for salvation from the tyrant represented by the Baath Party and its president, who ruled with iron and fire."
He emphasized, "Remembrance of the martyrs today is a remembrance of truth and humanity and consolidating the values of martyrdom and redemption, and the perpetuation of the goals for which the martyr leaders were martyred, and this places us before us with a great moral responsibility to restore the debt and fulfill their great sacrifices that were made in order to be saved from slavery .. And it also requires us all to defend." On behalf of their families, following their affairs in every place and time, and defending their material and moral rights guaranteed by the Constitution and the laws in force.
The committee called on the Iraqi people to "draw inspiration from the sacrifices of the martyrs and not to be dragged behind the lies launched by the guerrillas of the Baath in order to marginalize and ignore the sacrifices of the martyrs who destroyed the flower of their youth for the sake of the freedom of Iraq and the Iraqis."
It called on the Ministries of Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research to "expedite the completion of the curriculum for the crimes of the Baath Party and to include these crimes in other books," calling on all visual, audio and readable media to "pay attention to the sacrifices of the martyrs and perpetuate the values of martyrdom and to show the facts to future generations and to introduce them to the crimes of the Baath Party that has been destroyed."
