Al-Fateh Alliance MP Uday Shaalan said that the Ministry of Trade’s confusion in dealing with the issue of food security and the ration card and the domination of corruption mafias on local markets was behind the economic collapse and the rise in food prices.

Shaalan pointed out that the Iraqi citizen has become a victim of the absence of the ration card items, the government raised the price of the dollar and the greed of merchants, and that the Ministry of Trade is responsible for the high prices of foodstuffs, pointing out that the government is required to find urgent solutions to address the problem through its monitoring channels and to hold all those involved in it accountable because the problem of food security is No less dangerous than terrorism that targets citizens.
