    Baghdad - People
The Liberated Areas Reconstruction Fund announced, on Saturday, the projects included in its plan during the current year.

The Director of the Media Office of the Fund, Muthanna Al-Askari, said in a statement to the official agency and followed by "People", (April 17, 2021), that "the fund's plan for this year is a continuation of what it has launched in the reconstruction of infrastructure and service projects in the affected governorates." The projects include the sectors of health, education, water and electricity, which contribute to the restoration of life to the liberated areas and directly to the return of the displaced to their areas of residence. "
Al-Askari added that "the projects that have been achieved in the field of reconstruction of the health and education sectors included (35) projects within the health sector, and of which (22) have been completed so far. As for schools, the number of projects is (189), and the number of projects completed so far is about (150). ) School, "indicating that" the sums disbursed within the health sector for previous years amounted to 30 billion dinars, and for the education sector up to 103 billion dinars. "
He added that "there is a Kuwaiti grant allocated to the health sector, which is 100 million dollars," stressing that "there is cooperation with local governments in the designation of priority projects in the governorates by them, as well as determining the safety of the legal position of the sending projects and determining intersections with other authorities regarding the work of projects as well as nominating The departments of the resident engineer for projects and the committees for the initial and final receipt of the project, meaning that the cooperation continues until the end of the maintenance period of the project.
Al-Askari explained that "the damage is very large in the old city due to the fund’s inability to work in rebuilding the homes of the people, as it is not one of its tasks, and it was discussed with the governorate administration to nominate service projects that can be accomplished within the fund’s plan for 2021, which will be sent later." Until "the reconstruction of al-Nuri Mosque and Minaret al-Hadba is not within the jurisdiction of the Liberated Areas Reconstruction Fund, but rather their reconstruction is carried out by donor countries and in cooperation with the Sunni Endowment Office."
