The Parliamentary Oil and Energy Committee confirmed today, Monday, that there are no positive steps to solve the electricity crisis in the country, while noting that the delay in approving the 2021 budget has affected the maintenance work of the stations.
A member of the Parliamentary Oil and Energy Committee, Sadiq Al-Sulaiti, said that "there are no positive steps to solve the electricity crisis," expecting that "the situation will be similar to supplying electricity for last summer, that is, with a clear scarcity."
Al-Sulaiti added, "The ministry cannot meet four operating hours for two hours cut at its best," stressing that "there is a shortage of energy supplies estimated at about 12,000 megawatts, and these need to set up stations."
