The Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee announced, on Wednesday, its movement towards the file of transferring the affiliates of the certificate holders to the civil service, indicating that this file is very important and the security ministries need those competencies.
According to the official agency, a member of the committee, Naim Al-Oud, said, "Many police and army personnel have higher degrees from all specialties," indicating that "the transfer of diploma holders has not yet been activated."
He added that "the committee will visit the ministries of defense and interior to follow up and implement this file," noting that "this file is very important and the security ministries need those competencies to serve their ministries."
For his part, Badr Al-Ziyadi, a member of the committee, stressed "the necessity of implementing the clause of transferring holders of higher degrees from the military to the civilian corps."
He stressed that "the two security ministries have formed committees to determine the names of those who wish to transfer," explaining that "the security committee will follow up the implementation of the law in the security ministries."
On May 10, the Ministry of Interior announced the formation of a committee to consider the applications covered by Article 12 / Second of the Federal Budget Law for 2021 regarding transferring ranks from holders of a bachelor’s degree or higher to civil owners in the same ministry.
