, Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad Al-Halbousi, called on Saturday to make use of civil society organizations in electoral education.
In his speech during the fourth conference of civil society organizations, Al-Halbousi said, "Civil society organizations in Iraq have a great role in achieving victory over ISIS terrorist gangs, in addition to their role in the camps for the displaced and the support they provided for the reconstruction of liberated areas and the achievement of security and stability in them."
He added, "These organizations provided services to society in general and according to their specializations, and the state should support and enable them to spread the concepts of democracy and state building."
He stressed, "the necessity of making use of civil society organizations in electoral awareness, and urging citizens to vote to elect those who represent them in building their country and achieving the desired progress."
