The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hassan Karim Al-Kaabi, criticized, on Wednesday, the government for appealing before the Federal Court in the text of Article (2 - first - 8) of the draft Federal General Budget Law No. 23 of 2021.
Al-Kaabi said, in a statement received / Mawazine News / A copy of it: "We were very surprised that one of the appeals submitted by the government before the Federal Supreme Court regarding the Federal General Budget Law No. 23 of 2021 in connection with the challenge to the text of Article (2 - first - 8), which includes the establishment of the Petrodollar Fund in all The governorates producing crude or refined oil or gas are managed by the concerned governor and financed monthly from the increase in the price difference occurring in the selling prices of crude oil over the price fixed in the budget law.
He added, "The inclusion of this legal text by the House of Representatives was intended to support these oil or gas-producing governorates, as they represent a main source for financing the state's financial budget, especially the oil exported by our dear governorate of Basra, which contributes significantly and effectively to securing access to Funding the necessary infrastructure projects and providing the necessary services to those governorates.
