Parliamentary Legal: The Information Crimes Law will be carried over to the next parliamentary session

Today, Tuesday, the Parliamentary Legal Committee ruled out voting on the cybercrime law in the upcoming sessions of the House of Representatives, while indicating that the law will be carried over to the next parliamentary session .
Committee member Salim Hamza said; "The Information Crimes Law is considered one of the most important laws in the House of Representatives, and it needs careful study, follow-up and political consensus before the law is included to vote on the parliament's agenda ."
He added that "there is a fear among some political forces of legislating and exploiting the law for political purposes, and that it does not become a means and tool for politicians to target their opponents ."
Hamza continued, "The remaining period of Parliament's life is not sufficient to conclude an agreement on legislation of the Information Crimes Law," suggesting that the law will likely be carried over to the next parliamentary session.
