    {Political: Al Furat News} Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein stressed on Thursday the investigation into the smuggling of Iraqis to Lithuania via Belarus.

    Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein said in a press conference with his Lithuanian counterpart: "We talked about a problem facing Lithuania, which is related to the arrival of many and many Iraqi refugees to Lithuania through Belarus."
    He expressed, "The guest minister gave us sufficient ideas and how these people will reach his country," noting that "we feel that there is a plan to smuggle these people to Lithuania."
     He pointed out that "we will investigate the information that was presented at the meeting, and if there are criminal issues in this regard, the government will investigate."
    He continued, "We refuse to have human traffickers in Iraqi society."
    Lithuania's Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis added: I have the honor to be the first foreign minister of my country to visit Iraq.
    Landsbergis said: "800 illegal Iraqi refugees live in the forests on our borders," explaining, "We aspire to visit diplomatic cooperation between the two countries."

    {Politics: Al Furat News} This morning, Thursday, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis arrived in Baghdad on an official visit.
    The official spokesman for the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Al-Sahaf, said in a statement that {Euphrates News} received a copy of it, that "During the visit, Landsbergis will meet with Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein," noting that "the issue of immigration to the European Union through Belarus will be discussed."
    Lithuania had accused Belarus of sending hundreds of Iraqi immigrants illegally to its territory.
