    [size=45]Representative Alia Nassif called on honorable officials in the Ministry of Electricity not to give in to the pressures of the American monopoly (GE) company, which seeks to achieve huge profits at the expense of keeping Iraq without electricity for the next five years.[/size]
    [size=45]And she said in a statement today: “We had previously warned of the continued deterioration of electricity due to the monopoly of projects by specific companies that looted money and did not provide anything worth mentioning, and despite the constant warning of the damages of monopolistic companies, we find the American (GE) company exerting various types of pressure to make the Ministry of Electricity signs monopoly contracts with it worth hundreds of millions of dollars to maintain and rehabilitate electrical stations, which can be maintained and rehabilitated with less than 40 percent amounts if competition is opened to discreet companies,” noting that “this company is pressing to consolidate the monopoly for another five years by paying The ministry is about to sign long-term contracts for a period of five years.”[/size]
