    Today, Tuesday, the Ministry of Agriculture directed the support of the Wasit Full-time Association with seeds and irrigation and the support of agricultural associations.
    The media office stated, in a statement received by the “National News Center”, that “the Minister of Agriculture, Engineer Muhammad Al-Khafaji, chaired the eleventh meeting of the National Seed Council today, in the presence of the Technical Undersecretary, Dr. Mithaq Abdul-Hussein Al-Khafaji, the Ministry’s advisor, Dr. Who, the general managers are members of the council.”
    During the meeting, Al-Khafaji stressed the importance of focusing on supporting and making full-time agricultural associations a success, including the Wasit full-time association with seeds, irrigation, loans and the provision of seeds and agricultural supplies to farmers, which is a policy followed by the Ministry in this regard, stressing that “this association has become a model and we are working to transfer this experience to agricultural associations.” To increase production and sustain the support provided to farmers to provide food security for the country.”
    The statement added, "During the meeting, a number of items on the agenda were discussed, including approval of the plan for the production and receipt of rye seeds for the 2021-2022 agricultural season, submitted by the Seed Examination and Certification Department, and the formation of a committee to consider the pricing of vegetable seeds produced by the National Program for the Reproduction of Breeds and Hybrids." Local vegetable crops, forming a committee on the use of yellow corn in the production of silage and its specifications to support livestock, and discussing providing a water share for an area of ​​1,000 acres in the Aziziyah district from the share of the Mesopotamia State Seed Company.
    He continued, “The council also voted to approve the request to approve the economic classification of the supportive extension programs (multiplication of seeds of the higher ranks of the barley crop, multiplication of different types and varieties of fruits and olives, multiplication of seeds of higher ranks of the wheat crop, and multiplication of seeds of higher ranks of the rice crop) in the Department of Agricultural Extension and Training, and the approval On the financial allocations for the purpose of preparation and early preparation for the preparation of the educational program supporting the winter plan 2021-2022.
