The Minister of Commerce announces the launch of the third meal of the food basket

Today, Sunday, Minister of Commerce Alaa Al-Jubouri announced the launch of the third meal of the food basket throughout the country, indicating that the basket consists of 7 basic items.
And Trade Minister Alaa al-Jubouri said in an interview with the Iraqi News Agency and followed by "Economy News", that "the ministry launched the third meal of the food basket items that are distributed to citizens and in the ration card system throughout the country."
He added, "I issued a directive to all stores affiliated with the General Company for Food Trade, to release the food basket consisting of 6 items, in addition to flour."
And the Ministry of Commerce confirmed in a statement, that it "worked with the directives of the Council of Ministers, where the private sector imported the food basket, provided that the Ministry of Trade was supporting the processing, as well as follow-up with agents throughout Iraq."
