{Economic: Al Furat News} The Minister of Commerce, Atheer Daoud Al-Ghurairy, announced the launch of operations to cut and prepare the second meal of the items of the food basket for the year 2023, starting tomorrow, Wednesday.
The ministry said in a statement, quoting the general manager of the General Company for Foodstuff Trade, Lama Al-Mousawi, as saying that the company "has completed its administrative and logistical preparations to receive the materials supplied for the account of the food basket in its warehouses, which will be distributed to all citizens covered by the supply system, according to the marketing plan for the preparation prepared by the company, starting from The poorest regions, followed by the rest of the regions.
The statement called on food agents to review the cutting centers in Baghdad and the provinces on the specified date for the purpose of cutting citizen s' rations and according to the cutting schedules.
The statement noted that the company's sites in Baghdad and the provinces are alert and during official holidays to start cutting and processing of food basket materials and distributing them to citizens in one batch and at the same time without delay or shortage in any material.
