The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, on Monday, raised its forecast for global oil demand in the first quarter of 2022, but left its full-year growth forecast unchanged.
The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) said, in a monthly report, that the Omicron mutant from the Corona virus will have a slight impact as the world coexists with the pandemic.
It added that it expected average oil demand to reach 99.13 million barrels per day in the first quarter of 2022, an increase of 1.11 million over its forecast last month.
OPEC also raised its forecast for global demand for its oil in 2022 by 200,000 barrels per day to 28.8 million barrels per day.
With regard to the organization’s production last November, “OPEC” said that its oil production rose by 290,000 barrels per day in November 2021 to 27.72 million barrels per day. Ended 29 / p. 87
