Today, Monday, the leader of the Sadrist movement in Iraq, Muqtada al-Sadr, reiterated his confirmation of the formation of a national majority government.
He added, "We welcome dialogue with the national opposition."Al-Sadr wrote on a paper signed in his name: "Stop terrorism and violence against partners. We are still with the formation of a national majority government."
Al-Sadr's position comes after receiving Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani and Parliament Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi this morning at his residence in the city of Al-Hanana in Najaf governorate.
