Al-Hakim supports the majority in forming the next Iraqi government on condition
Shafaq News/ Ammar al-Hakim, head of the National State Forces Alliance, one of the leaders of the coordination framework, expressed on Friday his support for forming a national majority government in Iraq, but on the condition that it does not threaten the entity of the "largest component" in reference to the Shiites.
Al-Hakim said in a speech he delivered today in the city of Najaf, among crowds of his supporters, that "a narrow or broad national majority without producing a successful service government that puts on its shoulders specific realistic priorities with clear time ceilings."
He added, "If the narrow national majority sponsors this without threatening the rights of the largest component of the people, let us proceed with it," adding, "If the broad majority is in charge of the path of the required government service and the desired success and prioritizes it over private interests, it is welcome."
Al-Hakim added, "We will be satisfied with our parliamentary, social and political roles, in the service of the people, and we will not participate in the next government," stressing the support of those responsible for the purpose of providing services to the people.
