, the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hakim Al-Zamili, confirmed, on Sunday, during his meeting with National Security Adviser Qassem Al-Araji and his accompanying delegation, that assassinations and targeting judges require the presence of brave security leaders capable of imposing the rule of law.
During the meeting, Al-Zamili stressed, according to a statement by his media office, received by Mawazine News, on the need to focus on securing the Iraqi borders, especially with neighboring Syria, and increasing flights to strike ISIS cells and pursuing them, and activating the necessary intelligence effort and coordination with the National Intelligence Service, indicating that securing borders and controlling outlets will be reflected. Positively to enhance the security situation and reduce terrorism, drugs and illegal goods smuggling, among others.
With regard to the security situation in some provinces, the targeting of judges and the continuation of the wave of assassinations, a member of the Presidency explained that such events require the presence of courageous leaders capable of holding the negligent to account, imposing the rule of law, dealing with accidents and crimes legally, and expediting the accountability of any party that tries to destabilize societal security and terrorize families. He called on the government and the concerned authorities to reinforce the security of the judicial system, which is the main nucleus of law enforcement and the protection of civilians. Ended 29/A 4
