, Al-Nahrain Islamic Bank, one of the banks affiliated with the Ministry of Finance, clarified today, Wednesday, the conditions for servicing current accounts and their advantages.
The Ministry of Finance said in a statement, "Al-Nahrain Islamic Bank invites citizens to visit its branches in all governorates to benefit from the current account service."
The bank added, according to the statement, that “the process is carried out through instructions that include filling out an application form for opening an account with its branches and a “know your customer” (KYC) form, explaining that “current accounts are defined as a contract whereby two people agree to be credited in an account through mutual payments.” and intertwined debts arising from the operations that take place between them, including the delivery of cash, money, or commercial papers capable of being owned.
He continued, "The instructions also included the approval of the General Administration on the political client or those who hold high positions, and working to fill out an undertaking to inform the bank of any changes that may occur to the information provided if they occur. Otherwise, the client bears legal responsibility."
And he indicated that with regard to “companies, unions and committees, it is required to submit official documents for the registration of the company from the competent government authority, a founding contract, bylaws, the minutes of the board of directors, authorizing the authorized manager or any other person certified by the government department with jurisdiction and other documents required on the Know Your Customer (KYC) form, and according to the type of legal form For the customer, a joint account can be opened (in the name of more than one person), with the possibility of transferring the transferred salaries from the concerned authorities based on the customer’s desire to his current account.
