    Mustafa Al-Tamimi, Baghdad
The former deputy in the Iraqi parliament, Abbas Al-Atafi, confirmed today, Tuesday, that Iraq at the present time does not benefit from the rise in oil prices, among the reasons for this.
Al-Atafi said, in an interview with "Al-Nabaa Agency", that "Iraq without a budget for the current fiscal year, will not benefit from the rise in oil prices, as it cannot spend any of these funds without the presence of legal exchange doors within the budget law."
And he indicated, "Iraq is currently working on the disbursement of the 2021 budget, and it cannot spend any additional amounts without the presence of the 2022 budget law, but this financial surplus can benefit Iraq in the near or far future after the approval of the 2022 budget bill by Parliament".
