Nineveh Governor Najm al-Jubouri met on Saturday with a delegation of Turkish businessmen and investors during their visit to the city of Mosul.
During the meeting, Al-Jubouri stressed the importance of raising coordination with all commercial and economic activities, institutions and individuals, and the need to encourage capital to invest and establish projects in areas and disciplines that will benefit both sides.
In a press statement after the meeting, the governor said, "Turkish companies always have a footprint in the city of Mosul," adding that "we welcome all Turkish companies that want to work in the province and continue to help us with ages."
He added, "We encourage these companies to work in Nineveh, and the space is available for them to invest, especially in tourism," noting that the province "has a budget for the development of the region, which includes large projects that need solid companies."
The head of the local government concluded a statement by saying, "The cooperation between us and Turkey is great. Turkish companies exist and work in various fields, such as: roads, bridges, sewage, and cement factories."
