Integrity recovers more than three billion dinars from a Chinese oil company in Wasit

Today, Wednesday, the Federal Integrity Commission confirmed that its procedures contributed to the recovery of more than three and a half billion dinars to the state treasury, which are the sums of fines owed by a foreign oil company operating in Wasit Governorate .
A statement by the authority stated, "Violations were observed attributed to Al-Wasat Oil Company - Al-Ahdab Oil Field, regarding the rental and operation of submersible pumps, and the non-payment of fines payable by the Chinese side operating the field, until legal measures were taken by the Wasit Investigation Office of the authority ." .
He added, "Based on the procedures taken by the Integrity Commission in the criminal case, and the previous procedures in the news phase, the Central Oil Company deducted the fines from the Chinese operator of the Ahdab field ."
He pointed out that "the total amounts recovered to the state treasury amounted to (3,558,000,000) dinars .
