    [size=45]On Monday, the Ministry of Planning announced the launch of the experimental economic and social survey of the Iraqi family in six governorates, implemented by the Central Bureau of Statistics in cooperation with the World Bank.     [size=45]The head of the Central Statistical Organization, Diaa Awad Kazem, said in a statement, "The work of the experimental economic and social survey of the family in Iraq began today, which will include six governorates, namely (Baghdad, Anbar, Nineveh, Muthanna, Basra, Erbil)," noting that this survey is one of the permissible missions. Work is underway to provide all its needs for its implementation.” He added, "This experiment came to find out the problems and challenges that the survey may face during its implementation when it is actually launched next July."[/size]
    [size=45]He pointed out that "the experience includes visits to families and asking questions related to survey forms, as well as collecting data and indicators for this survey."[/size]
    [size=45]For his part, the Director-General of the Technical Department of the Central Statistical Organization, Qusai Abdel Fattah Raouf, said: “Today we started the final experiment that precedes the economic and social survey of the family in Iraq, which was implemented in Sadr City in Baghdad,” according to the statement.[/size]
    [size=45]He added, "This experience was able to identify the strengths and weaknesses of implementing the survey."[/size]
    [size=45]He explained that "this survey will continue for a period of fourteen months, through which we will be able to calculate the poverty line for the family and identify the hotbeds of poverty in Iraq," stressing that the actual survey will include all governorates of Iraq, including the governorates of the Kurdistan region.[/size]
    [size=45]He pointed out that "the survey will provide economic and social indicators for the family in the districts and sub-districts in the governorates, in addition to indicators of income, expenditure and employment to calculate multidimensional poverty indicators to determine the basic services gaps in the governorates."[/size]
