On Friday, the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued an official statement in response to the Iraqi parliament's decision to criminalize normalization with the Zionist entity.
In a statement received by Mawazine News, a spokesman for the Israeli Foreign Ministry said, "Israel condemns the decision of the Iraqi parliament to pass a law against normalization with Israel and to impose the death penalty on anyone who communicates with Israel. It is a law that puts Iraq and the Iraqi people on the wrong side of history. Apart from reality
, he added, it is changes in the Middle East, peace agreements and the normalization of Arab countries with Israel that will bring stability and prosperity to the peoples of the region, but rather the future of the Middle East.
