The Ministry of Planning confirmed that the population census project is in place and will not be affected by the absence of the budget.
Ministry spokesman Abdul-Zahra Al-Hindawi said that the population census project is on schedule in the last quarter of the year two thousand and twenty-three, and an amount of one hundred and twenty billion dinars has been allocated to it within the investment program, according to last year's budget.
He added, that the Financial Management Law for the year two thousand and nineteen approved that investment projects continue according to the percentages of completion and therefore the project of the general census of the population is continuous and existing and will not be affected by the delay or absence of approving the budget for the year two thousand and twenty-two.
He explained that the High Census Authority has set the date for implementing the population census in the last quarter of next year, according to what is planned.
