The Iraqi government exempts farmers from agricultural land rents and receives yellow corn
Shafaq News/ The Minister of Agriculture, Muhammad Karim al-Khafaji, announced on Tuesday that farmers will be exempted from the rental fees for agricultural lands leased from the Iraqi state.
Al-Khafaji said in a statement that the Council of Ministers voted to exempt all peasants and farmers from the rent allowances for agricultural lands leased from 2015 to 2021.
According to the minister, the council also decided to receive yellow corn from farmers for the current season and throughout the country.
