    Today, Sunday, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs announced that Iraq has won the presidency of the Board of Directors of the Arab Labor Organization for the next session.
    The ministry stated in a statement, that "Iraq, represented by the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, the agency of Salar Abdul Sattar, won the chairmanship of the Board of Directors of the Arab Labor Organization for the next session," noting that "this came during the holding of the (97) session of the Board of Directors of the Arab Labor Organization, which is hosted by the capital, Baghdad, at the headquarters of the Arab Labor Organization. American University".
    She added that "during the session, which was attended by the Director-General of the organization, Fayez Al-Mutairi, and its member states, a new presidency was elected for the organization after voting for the election of Minister of Labor Salar Abdul Sattar as Chairman of the Board of Directors and the selection of two vice presidents for employers and workers."
    Abdul Sattar stressed in his speech, according to the statement, that "the Iraqi government welcomes the Arab brothers in their country, Iraq, and has the honor to host the work of this session, and commends the attendance and active participation of the members of the organization and its general manager," thanking the "Algerian government for its concession to Iraq of the presidency of the Council." organization management.
    The minister expressed his "hope that the decisions and recommendations that will result in the work of this session will lead to tangible results," praising "the efforts of the Director-General of the Organization, Fayez Al-Mutairi, in developing the performance of the Arab organization, and the efforts of the Board of Directors to reach results and decisions that serve labor and workers issues in the Arab world." ".
    He explained that "the council will follow up the implementation of the decisions of the 96th session on labor and labor issues, discuss matters and financial aspects of the organization in terms of contributions and arrears on member states, follow up on the decisions of the 48th session of the Arab Labor Conference for 2022, and review the activities and achievements of the organization."
    He pointed out that "the Palestinian issue is the first Arab issue by working to put an end to the Israeli practices against the Palestinian people and supporting the Palestinian people in facing the violations of the Zionist entity," pointing to "the support of the Palestinian government in the Social Protection Fund."
    For his part, the Director-General of the Arab Labor Organization, Fayez Al-Mutairi, praised "Iraq's hosting of the work of this session and the good reception and hospitality," extending "congratulations to the new President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Rashid, on his election as the new president of Iraq and his assignment of Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani to head the government."
    Al-Mutairi affirmed his "striving to emphasize the role of the three production parties in overcoming the negative aspects of this reality," pointing out "to lay down a plan for joint cooperation and alternative options to achieve the well-being of Arab youth."
