    [size=45]An Iraqi court announced, on Thursday, the details of the measures taken to complete the investigations into the case of the seizure of tax trusts, what is known as “the theft of the century.”[/size]
    [size=45]The media center of the Supreme Judicial Council stated in a statement, "The court has taken additional measures against another number of defendants from the General Tax Authority, and that investigations are continuing to determine the responsibilities of other parties that have contributed to facilitating the seizure of these funds."[/size]
    [size=45]And she added, "Despite the complexity of the investigations into the case, the court focused on the importance of counting the sums of money that were seized in preparation for their recovery, and it formed a specialized committee to inventory the sums of money and real estate located inside and outside the country."[/size]
    [size=45]The statement indicated that "in this regard, precautionary seizure has been placed on approximately (55) properties in Baghdad, and investigations are underway for the rest of the properties in other provinces."[/size]
    [size=45]The seizure was placed on financial shares belonging to the accused and his family, estimated at (167.650.000.000) one hundred and sixty-seven billion six hundred and fifty million dinars, in addition to cash balances with a value of (108,000,000,000) one hundred and eight billion Iraqi dinars, in addition to shares valued at (100.000) .000.000) one hundred billion Iraqi dinars in one of the commercial malls in Baghdad, according to what the statement said.[/size]
    [size=45]A massive embezzlement of trust funds was revealed in the General Tax Authority, amounting to 3.7 trillion Iraqi dinars (two and a half billion US dollars), in the month of October.[/size]
    [size=45]According to the Integrity Commission, the case is still under investigation until all those involved are found.[/size]
    [size=45]Judicial arrest warrants were issued against a number of parties to the case, most notably the director of the “Innovators” company, Nour Zuhair Al-Mudhaffar.[/size]
    [size=45]On Wednesday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani called on the international community to help Iraq recover the fugitives in the tax insurance case, what is known in the media as “the theft of the century.”[/size]
