The Social Protection Authority in Babylon recovered nearly one billion dinars from those who exceeded care salaries.
Haider Kamel, director of the men's department in the authority, said, in an interview with the official "Al-Sabah" newspaper, that "the violators of them were appointed and were not informed of the decision of his appointment and continued to receive two salaries, including those who own cars above the 2011 model, which is a violation and inconsistent with the poverty line."
He added, "The authority stopped the salaries and calculated the duration of the violation and the value of the amounts received, as the violator is supposed to pay what he owed within a period of six months, and in the event of his failure, legal measures are taken against him by referring him to the competent courts."
He explained, "The authority has the powers to seize the movable and immovable funds of the trespassers until they pay what they owe, as their number exceeded 250," noting at the same time that "the deductions also continued from four thousand exceeded during the previous years through monthly installments."
