    Today, Friday, Baghdad Governorate announced treatments for the four hospital projects referred since 2013, indicating that the change in the price of the dollar and global inflation led to a change in the cost of completion.
    The director of the Engineering Department in Baghdad Governorate, Haider, said in a press statement, “The governorate has adopted a mechanism for building 4 hospitals on both sides of Karkh and Rusafa, which are: Al-Hurriya Hospital with a capacity of 400 beds, Al-Fadhiliya Hospital with a capacity of 200 beds, in addition to Al-Sha’b Hospital with a capacity of 200 beds, in addition to building and rehabilitating Al-Nu’man Hospital.” with a capacity of 75 beds.
    He explained that “the completion rate in Al-Fadhiliyah Hospital reached 70 percent, and a role for doctors was added in 4 buildings, and the completion rate reached 50 percent.” The completion rate reached 68 percent.
    He added that “the governorate faced many problems with this file as a result of the discontinuation of Cabinet Resolution No. 347 of 2015 regarding stopping projects with little completion. The exchange rate of the dollar, and all of them were obstacles that prevented achievement.
    He pointed out that “according to Cabinet Resolution 301 of 2020, which dealt with the exchange rate of the dollar for government projects, the governorate completed the requirements, and they were submitted to the Ministry of Planning for the purpose of completing the procedures, in addition to the Diwaniya Committee 45 of 2018, which dealt with the problem of device price differences between the date of referral The four hospital projects, as the requirements when signing contracts in the year 2013 differ from what they are in the year 2020 as a result of the development in the devices.
    And he continued: “Complete studies have been prepared and submitted to the Council of
    Ministers for approval,” stressing “a serious effort to complete the requirements, and if financial liquidity is available, the four hospitals will be completed within one year.”
    And Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani had directed, during a meeting that included the governor of Baghdad, Muhammad Jaber al-Atta, the general managers, and heads of departments in the governorate, the Ministry of Planning to resolve the exchange rate difference for hospital projects in Baghdad, and to consider it one of the first priorities. which implemented sewage projects in all governorates, and was distinguished in achievement with the support of the beneficiaries, for the purpose of inviting these companies to implement sewage projects in Baghdad governorate, and he also directed the need to develop quick plans to address the problems of providing urgent services to citizens as directed by the Prime Minister’s office to follow up the Integrity Commission, to explain the reasons for not Taking legal measures based on the report of the Financial Supervision Bureau for the rehabilitation and development of Al-Numan Hospital project, and referring the negligent integrity employees to investigation.
