The Parliamentary Education Committee announced, on Tuesday, that it will host the directors of the Ministry of Education regarding the budget and allocations for printing curricula.
Committee member Jawad al-Ghazali said in an interview with the official news agency, which was followed by Mawazine News, that "the committee began hosting a number of directors in the Ministry of Education, as it hosted today the Director General of Financial Affairs in the Ministry of Education, Hassanein Fadel Maala, and two of his assistants."
He added, "The hosting came to discuss the ministry's needs and its budget for the year 2023, and allocations for printing school curricula," noting that "the committee continues to host officials to discuss all obstacles in the Ministry of Education."
He continued, "The committee seeks to set a rewarding budget to meet the need for this important sector, which is the mainstay of the country," pointing out that "the committee proposed increasing the Ministry of Education's share of the budget during the current year."
