Mandalawi stressed "the need to expedite the solution to the problems with the Korean (Hanwa) company and to restore work in the (Bismaya) residential project," stressing that "Iraq has all the ingredients for the success of investment in various sectors, in addition to the improvement of security and the availability of capabilities and scientific expertise, where these foundations can be exploited to achieve Unprecedented sustainable development in our country.
The Iraqi Investment Authority had previously expressed its surprise at what was issued by the South Korean "Hanwha" company regarding the "Bismaya" residential project in the capital, Baghdad, while summarizing the work mechanisms of the project, which is still under construction, with eight points.
Work on the Bismayah residential project, which is supervised by the National Investment Authority, was halted after disagreements with the Korean company executing the project (Hanwha).
While the people resort to demonstrating constantly, the last of which took place on October 15, 2022, to protest against the poor services provided by the collection and maintenance company (Iraqna), and to demand that the Korean company return to work again in the project, and to replace the authority’s office located inside the city due to accusations of not continuously following up on their demands.
