Today, Saturday, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs announced that it has monitored thousands of transgressors on the social protection network and recovered the money they owe, while confirming that the retirement and social security law for workers includes very large privileges that encourage the private sector and reduce unemployment rates.
The ministry's spokesman, Najm Al-Aqabi, said, "The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has been boycotting the beneficiaries' data for years, in cooperation with state institutions, by sending the names of its employees to file abusers on the social protection network, including employees and retirees."
Al-Aqabi added, "The ministry discovered thousands of transgressors on the social protection network, and, through its procedures, was able to recover all the amounts that they owed according to the law."
He explained, "In the past period, the recovered sums used to go to the state treasury, but after the ministry's tasks were assumed by Minister Ahmed Al-Asadi, he obtained a decision from the Prime Minister to benefit from these sums, and therefore they now go to the Social Welfare Authority Fund in order to include categories more deserving of social protection.
He pointed out that "the number of applicants through the electronic window has reached more than two million and 700 families, and their data is currently being boycotted in order to sort out those who are eligible and deport those who are not eligible and transgressors," stressing that "in the upturn period, there will be clear work for the Ministry."
And he continued, "The ministry encourages the work sector during the coming period if the retirement and social security law for workers is enacted, which contains very large privileges that encourage the private sector in order to absorb unemployment, which has risen greatly in society."
