    {Politics: Al-Furat News} First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mohsen Al-Mandalawi called today, Sunday, for an intellectual victory over the roots of extremism and terrorism, complementing the great military victory.
    In a statement received by Al-Furat News, his media office said, "The latter called for the importance of investing in the International Day to Prevent Violent Extremism that leads to terrorism optimally, locally and internationally, through various cultural and artistic events to spread the culture of coexistence, tolerance and rejection of extremism, and to consolidate it in the minds of new generations of people. through educational curricula at various educational stages. 
    This came in a speech he delivered today, Sunday, during a conference held by the National Security Adviser on the occasion of the International Day to Prevent Violent Extremism that Leads to Terrorism, under the slogan (Towards a secure Iraqi society that rejects extremism and hatred and believes in peace and coexistence), and in the presence of governmental, parliamentary, UN and diplomatic figures.
    During his speech, the First Deputy stressed the need to eliminate the roots of extremism, through which brainwashing, sowing hatred and preparing the individual for any act of aggression by achieving an intellectual victory that complements the great victory over the remnants of extremism and terrorism, stressing Parliament’s support for all efforts in this regard and the powers it possesses. constitutional and legal, and praising the role of the concerned authorities, including the National Committee for Combating Extremism that Leads to Terrorism, by presenting the International Day project that we celebrate today, after it was officially approved as an international day by the United Nations General Assembly
