    Shafaq News/ The Kurdish leader, Massoud Barzani confirmed, on Monday, that the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Chinese Communist Party have overcome major obstacles and challenges with their struggle and their fans.
    This came while he received a high-ranking delegation from the Chinese Communist Party in Erbil, which included a number of officials and advisors of the Chinese Communist Party, according to a statement by Barzani's headquarters received by Shafaq News agency.



    The head of the delegation, Gu Rui, briefed the Kurdish leader on the policy and worldview of the Chinese Communist Party after the party's twentieth congress on global and regional issues, as well as the situation, progress and internal changes in China.
    The head of the Chinese delegation referred to "the common points and concepts between the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Chinese Communist Party," calling for "development of relations between the two sides, especially in the field of exchanging experiences, administration, governance, trade and economy."
    The statement added, "Barzani welcomed the guest delegation, and referred to the historical relations between the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Chinese Communist Party."
    Barzani affirmed that "the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Chinese Communist Party were able, through their authenticity and their masses, to overcome the great obstacles and challenges through their struggle."
    During the meeting, Barzani expressed his support for the development of relations between the Kurdistan Region and China, hoping that the Kurdistan Workers' Party and the Chinese Communist Party would establish appropriate mechanisms for the development of bilateral relations.

    A statement by the Kurdistan Democratic Party, which "NAS" received a copy of, (February 13, 2023), stated, "The political bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party received a high-ranking delegation from the Chinese Communist Party, consisting of the head of the delegation, Guru, Assistant Minister in the International Department of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, and the Chinese ambassador. I have Iraq, the Chinese consulate in Erbil, and a number of officials and advisors to the Chinese Communist Party.  
      
    During the meeting, the two sides referred to the points and concepts between the KDP and the Chinese Communist Party to improve relations between the two sides, especially in the field of exchanging expertise and experiences in the field of management, governance, trade and economy, according to the statement.
