Baghdad / Obelisk: A senior commander in the Iranian Revolutionary Guards said that his country's forces are seeking to kill former US President Donald Trump and his Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, because of their involvement in the assassination of former Quds Force commander General Qassem Soleimani.
"We hope that we will be able to kill former US President Donald Trump and his Secretary of State Mike Pompeo because they issued the decision to assassinate General Soleimani," said the commander of the Air Force of the Revolutionary Guards, Brigadier General Ali Hajizadeh, in an interview with Iranian television.
The administration of former US President Donald Trump had claimed responsibility for issuing orders to assassinate Qassem Soleimani, with a drone that targeted his car as he left Baghdad International Airport in Iraq at dawn on January 3, 2020.
After that, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced the bombing of the Ain al-Assad base in western Iraq, in which the American forces are stationed, with several missiles, while the United States said that this strike did not result in casualties.
